Alfredo joined the Firm after several years as the in-house advisor for a joint venture of private companies in the hydrocarbons industry in Ecuador. Previously, he was a comparative law researcher for the National Bureau of Economic Research NBER, Negotiations Consultant for the Conflict Management Group (both positions in Cambridge, MA), and Legal Consultant for matters involving electricity, telecommunications, and natural resources for the State Modernization Council-CONAM. He is also a university professor of Negotiations and International Arbitration, as well as an active mediator.
